A jam-packed evening of networking, dancing, and commemorating women musicians! Join Women In Music Detroit (WIMD) founders, members, and friends as we gather to celebrate the launch of our new Chapter!


An invitational reception (6-9PM) to meet Detroit Chapter Committee, learn about WIM, and meet prominent industry members.

A Public Party (9PM-2AM) to present a long-overdue lineup of leading women DJs from Detroit, Los Angeles, and Berlin and create lifelong memories.

NFT & Digital Art Exhibition, Detroit Moves The World, to further echo Detroits' healing music legacy with local and international contributions.  

WIMD launch event will be followed by a series of yearly industry oriented public programs and city-wide activations, panel discussions, and community meetups in collaboration with local organizations including Underground Resistance, Poetic Societies, We Found Hip Hop, Hotwaxx Productions, and Acentifi, featuring skillful women in the industry and global partners. WIM works to educate, empower and advance women in the music industry. WIMD  launch marks a significant step forward by connecting Detroit’s homegrown music industry with thousands of WIM members from around the world.
