The Austin chapter of Women In Music (WIM) launches with our first official panel titled "Breaking Boundaries: Austin Women's Journeys in the Music Biz," moderated by esteemed music journalist Deborah Sengupta-Stith (Interim Features Editor, Austin American-Statesman/Austin360). Panelists include Austin music industry trailblazers: Marcia Ball (Marcia Ball Band), Lisa Fletcher (Arlyn Studios), Celeste Quesada (Community Builder and Music Commissioner) and Rose Reyes (President, Giant Noise San Antonio; W.I.M.P.S. Co-Founder). In addition to the panel, the event will include time for networking and mingling with your fellow industry professionals.
This event is not only a celebration of the incredible achievements of these trailblazing women but also an opportunity for everyone, from newcomers to long-time veterans in the music business, to gain insights, inspiration, and community with drinks provided by Still Austin Whiskey Co. and food by Schlotzsky’s.
