State of the Live Industry in Colorado
A Panel and Networking Event
Women in Music Denver invites you to join Colorado music industry executives for an in-depth discussion on the state of our live touring industry.
For 18 months between 2020 and 2021, the live music industry in Colorado and beyond went dark. As a result of Covid-19, many much-loved venues closed, touring crews saw their livelihoods disappear, and artists feared for their careers having seen no touring (and far less merchandise) revenue coming in for many months.
While in late 2021 and 2022, live music began roaring back to life, it did so with an abundance of caution. The purchase habits of far less trusting audiences changed, as did the touring habits of talent, all of which impacted the decisions made by promoters, venues, and marketers. Fast forward to 2023 and a sense of normalcy seems to have somewhat returned. There’s no substitute for the live experience and ticket sales reflect this. While the live industry in Colorado is once again buoyed, the landscape faces new challenges that it had not before 2020.
Join us for an open and wide-ranging conversation regarding the state of the live music industry in Colorado in 2023 (and beyond), featuring experts in booking, artist management, and marketing, as well as insights from venue owners, promoters, and the perspective of talent themselves.
