Panelist

Jasmine Flott – Terrorbird

With a background in Advertising, Jasmine chose to take her music fandom to a professional level in 2007. She worked as a music supervisor at Agoraphone for 10 years (working on campaigns for Pepsi, Ford, Adidas, etc) - and this year joined the Terrorbird team as Creative Licensing Director. At both Agoraphone and Terrorbird, as well as is with her independent work on films, ads and TV shows, Jasmine takes particular pride in placing work by indie/up-and-coming artists.

Jessica Shaw – Sony Music

Jessica Shaw, Vice President of Music for Brands & Advertising at Sony Music, has over twelve years of experience in the world of music licensing. In her current post at Sony Music, Jessica oversees the brands & advertising licensing team that services all Sony labels, representing Sony’s vast catalog and roster of artists for commercial licensing opportunities. During her time at Sony, she has worked on placements for countless artists (spanning from Bob Dylan to Beyoncé) and brands (from Apple to Applebee’s, and everything in between). Prior to joining Sony, Jessica spent several years in the music publishing world, working in both the creative and clearance side of licensing at Universal Music Publishing, Warner/Chappell, and Boosey & Hawkes. She began her career after graduating with a degree in music from Duke University, and also currently serves as President of the Board of Directors of the Young New Yorkers Chorus.

Cyndi Goreski – Warner Music Group

Cyndi Goretski is Vice President of the Commercial Music Licensing division of the Warner Music Group.  Cyndi began her 27-year career at WMG in the Special Markets Division Business Affairs Department, straight out of college.  After her initial years in Business Affairs, she shifted her focus from the legal aspects of the music licensing business over into the creative/pitching side where she currently works directly with brands and agencies to help them select and secure rights to Warner Music Group masters as well as Warner/Chappell published writers for their projects.

Theresa Notartomaso – Minute Mile

Theresa is an advertising music production maven with over ten years of experience using the commercial platform as a way to establish a brand’s musical identity.  Theresa is the founder and Executive Producer of Sync Squad; providing original music production, music supervision, and sync licensing services for agencies and brands. Currently, Theresa is working with Y&R NY and Middle Mile Productions collaborating with brands such as Dell, the US Navy and Altice/Optimum Cable.

During her career, Theresa has used her musical ear to create memorable pieces of original music, and has used her business savvy to broker innovative music licensing deals for clients such as Cadillac, Heineken, TD Ameritrade, Citi, Proctor + Gamble, Garnier and Wendy’s.

Theresa led music departments at Havas and Publicis as well as the boutique audio post-production house, Headroom Digital Audio. Theresa began her career as Music Producer at J. Walter Thompson New York.  Theresa grew up in Smithtown, NY before obtaining her BA in Communication Arts from Marymount Manhattan College.​

Joanna Starling – Ogilvy

Joanna is currently an associate music producer at the advertising agency Ogilvy New York. She left her musical roots of Texas and starring in the 6th grade production of Annie to pursue a career in music supervision in New York City. Through internships at Universal Music Publishing Group and Sirius XM she learned the skills of artist management, radio programming, sync licensing and music production.

Joanna started her career in advertising music at Publicist where she produced music for brands like P&G, Citibank, Red Lobster and Garnier. She then joined the Ogilvy music team where she has continued to help brands expand their musical identities for global campaigns. Some of her clients include IBM, Motorola, American Express and more.
