WIM LA is proud to announce the first annual Women in Music Wellness Summit to be held at the Los Angeles College of Music on February 24th. This one day event will bring together leaders from the music and wellness professionals for thought provoking panels, in depth discussions and community building.

Together we will learn, teach, speak, listen, question and answer while we delve deeply into the music and wellness worlds. Our special guest speakers will cover topics ranging from the importance of self-care, to how to sustain as an entrepreneur. The day will conclude with a networking wellness walk where members can mix and mingle through sponsor booths and receive special deals.

About our Speakers:

Lisa Odenweller…..Founder, Beaming

Chosen as one of mindbodygreen's "100 Women to Watch in Wellness, Lisa is a mission-driven entrepreneur who created and ran Beaming, one of the leading, most well respected lifestyle wellness companies in the country. Her combined passion for food and wellness, along with her vision of creating unique experiences that provided the abundant benefits of clean eating, made her a visionary for the next generation of “juice bars.” A true innovator, Lisa crafted the art of making healthy taste amazing.

Her passion for creating products that have a healthy impact on the world have made her a sought after speaker, advisor and innovative concept creator in the wellness and consumer products industries.

With a background in marketing and business development, Lisa was a director at numerous Silicon Vally software companies including Oracle and Broadvision. She later founded and ran other lifestyle startups including LMO Designs, an award winning window coverings and interior design company in San Diego and soon after, Peppered Pearl, a philanthropic online jewelry store representing artisans around the world.

Pamela Des Barres…..Legendary author and magazine writer and a former rock and roll groupie, musician and actor.

Despite her infamy as “the World’s Most Famous Groupie” or “Queen of the Groupies,” Pamela Des Barres has many other facets, fascinations and unique talents. Known mostly for her heady dalliances and friendships with classic rock’s elite dandies in the 60s and 70s, she presciently kept copious diaries about those madcap revolutionary days and nights. Pamela has written four books, I’m With the Band, Take Another Little Piece of My Heart, (autobiographies) Rock Bottom: Dark Moments in Music Babylon, and most recently, Let’s Spend the Night Together: Backstage Secrets of Rock Muses and Supergroupies.

“Miss Pamela” has shared her history on endless TV and radio shows and documentaries, including two memorable stints with both Oprah and Larry King. Last year she wrote and produced an hour-long VH1 Doc interviewing an array of supergroupies based on her most recent book.

She has been teaching ongoing women’s writing workshops in Los Angeles and all over the country for twelve years, inspiring like-minded dolls to share their desire, stories and ideas in a totally safe environment. She calls these writing parties “Groupie Therapy.” And as an ordained minister, Pamela performs unique one-of-a-kind rock & roll weddings!


The Spiritual Owl…..

Born in London, England, a generational and international Intuitive Reader, Psychic, Medium, Clairvoyant & Empath. Spiritual Guide, The Spiritual Owl, has spent many years travelling the world, developing her spiritual path under leading masters in Eastern, Western and Native American practices and traditions, deepening her spirituality. After a devastating accident and subsequent life changing healing experience, she went on to experience her own enlightenment to follow her true spiritual Calling. Her Practices in Los Angeles and Santa Barbara, sees her supporting and inspiring clients from all around the world, including those in the Entertainment, Fashion, Music, Sports and Business fields. 2018 sees her continue her collaborations on her international series of workshops and events, together with the upcoming release of The Spiritual Owl’s much awaited meditation series.


Stacie Aamon Yeldell, MA, MT-BC, AVPT, RADT…..Board Certified Music Therapist/Vocal Psychotherapist, International Recording Artist

STACIE YELDELL, MA, MT-BC, AVPT is a Board Certified Music Therapist, Singer-Songwriter and Speaker. She received a Masters degree in Music Therapy from New York University in 2005. After an intense internship at the Bronx Psychiatric Center, Stacie began her career as a Psychiatric Rehabilitation Therapist at North General Hospital, providing music therapy services in the inpatient Psychiatry Unit, the MICA (mentally ill chemically addicted) Unit, the Detox unit, and the hospital’s outpatient Addiction Treatment Center.

She also held the position of music therapist at the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music and facilitated creative arts therapy groups focused on empowerment with youth and adolescents within the New York School system. Soon after, Stacie pioneered the first music therapy program at Little Flower Children and Family Services of New York for at-risk teens and foster children, a program that continues today. Stacie has also facilitated empowerment workshops for female adolescents suffering from the trauma of sexual abuse, and has contributed to outreach programs in Costa Rica and Brazil and is fluent in Brazilian Portuguese. In 2010, Stacie received a certification in Sound and Music Healing from the Open Center in New York City. She is also a Vocal Psychotherapist (AVPT), which emphasizes the use of the voice as a healing modality.

In 2014, Stacie’s transformative work at the Children’s Hospital in Los Angeles was featured on ABC News. Recently, Stacie created a customized 10-week music therapy program intensive, with a focus on female self-empowerment in recovery. Stacie is a staunch advocate for music and the creative arts as healing modalities. Her approach encourages “radical empowerment” and she is passionate and dedicated to developing and facilitating creative arts therapy programs and sessions for individuals and organizations across the globe.

Jo Little…..Founder & CEO at Creative Cleansing

Following her heart from a young age lead Joanna to work in music and events. She has toured the world with bands and produced many shows from festivals for the Ministry of Sound to Al Gore’s Live Earth campaign. Built Fashion shows in NY, London, Milan and Paris and launched the Palm Islands and skyscrapers in the Middle East. Joanna was a non-stop production machine, with a wild and crazy lust for life!

After an unplanned and dramatic exit stage left from her events career, Joanna was thrust into the world of healing. Joanna’s approach to health is as multi-faceted as a disco ball. She draws on wisdom from many modalities, merging age-old traditions with cutting edge discoveries to bring about a truly holistic style that encourages people to live to their full potential and create balance amid the ever-shifting landscape of this modern world. Through private one-on-one bodywork sessions and small group gatherings Joanna hopes to wash the dirt of every day life from our souls and encourages people to live to their full expression.

RYAT…..Artist, Composer, Producer

RYAT is a performer and composer that has been producing and releasing solo albums on labels like Brainfeeder and Ninja Tune. According to SPIN Magazine, RYAT, is "L.A's Björk, complete with stormy production and commanding, mercurial presence: That voice!” POTHOLES wrote that "Ryat writes beat Couture. Each track takes to the runway." Known for collaborations with artists such as Taylor McFerrin, Mark Guiliana and King Britt, RYAT is often invited in the studio to create and write with many different types of artist like Cinematic Orchestra, Terrace Martin and Glitch Mob. She has shared stages with artist Thom Yorke, Amon Tobin and Flaming Lips and has extensively toured the world. RYAT presents her work in all encompassing performances including Instillation, Projection mapping and dance. She has done live scores for Native Instruments and also writes for music for tv and film. RYAT is currently working on a new album and will present this album with an immersive Installation Performance.
